Ralcorp Holdings Receives Mayor’s Spirit of St. Louis Award
ST. LOUIS — Mayor Francis G. Slay presented the Mayor’s Spirit of St. Louis Award today to Ralcorp Holdings, Inc., in appreciation of the commitment this Fortune 1000 company has made to St. Louis renewing its lease for another significant term, and the enthusiasm which Ralcorp employees bring to their work in Downtown St. Louis.
“The Spirit of St. Louis Award is reserved for members of the St. Louis business community who have the vision to recognize the enormous potential of this city and the dedication required to make that vision a reality,” Mayor Slay said. “The City of St. Louis is proud to have Ralcorp as one of its corporate citizens, and we’re proud that Ralcorp is an enthusiastic downtown business.”
Ralcorp Holdings was formed in 1994 when it was spun-off from Ralston Purina Company. Ralcorp draws on a long heritage with Ralston Purina and its century-old reputation for quality and value to the consumer. The company employs approximately 6,000 people, with 250 employees at company headquarters in downtown St. Louis.
The Mayor’s Spirit of St. Louis Award recognizes businesses that make major expansions or improvements to their existing City locations, businesses that open or relocate to the City, and certain major City projects.
