Coronado Place Receives Mayor’s Spirit of St. Louis Award

Mayor Slay with Amrit and Amy GillST. LOUIS – Mayor Francis G. Slay presented the Mayor’s Spirit of St. Louis Award today to Amrit and Amy Gill, developer-owners of Coronado Place, located at 3701 Lindell Boulevard.

The Mayor’s Spirit of St. Louis Award recognizes businesses that make major expansions or improvements to their existing City locations, businesses that open or relocate to the City, and certain major City projects.

“The Spirit of St. Louis award is reserved for members of the St. Louis business community who have the vision to recognize the enormous potential of our city and the dedication required to make that vision a reality,” Mayor Slay said. “The Coronado Hotel was a St. Louis treasure, but one that had long been a neglected eyesore. The Gills put together a $36 million development plan to renovate the hotel into apartments, retail and office space. On behalf of the people of the City of St. Louis, I congratulate Amy and Amrit Gill on receiving the Spirit of St. Louis Award.”
