St. Louis Development Corporation Analysis of Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives

Primary Audience: Public St. Louis Development Corporation will hold a forum to solicit public input regarding the selected cleanup approaches proposed for two planned cleanups in the City. The first project is at 2848 N. Kingshighway, in the Kingsway East neighborhood, where the removal of three underground storage tanks and petroleum-impacted soil is planned. The second project is for the cleanup and development of vacant land in the JeffVanderLou neighborhood. Surface soil is contaminated with lead; groundwater and subsurface soil have been impacted with petroleum. St. Louis Community College will be constructing a new facility, the Harrison Education Center, at 3140 Cass Avenue, about 0.2 miles east of the intersection of Grand and Cass.
