Calling all photographers! The City of St. Louis is looking for great photos of St. Louis to feature on our new website. A new City of St. Louis website is planned for 2008 and we're looking for pictures that show our city's unique character and beauty. Whether you're a professional photographer, or just like to take pictures, we invite you to submit photos.

Photo credit will include the photographer’s name, copyright notice, and link to a credit page that may include contact information. Images will not be available for third party use and permission for re-use can only be granted by photographer.

Only Digital photos will be accepted.
Entries should be color digital images. Black and white images are not eligible.
Most images taken with a digital camera have original image sizes between 3400x2300 and 2800x1800; minimum image size 1024x768
Images should be submitted in JPG (at high quality)
The file size submitted should not exceed 5MB (5,000KB).
Types of photos – We are seeking panoramic photos for our global navigation segments which include: Homepage, Online Services, Resident, Business, Visitor and Government section as well as standard photos to be used throughout the site.
No borders or frames may be added to images.
No watermarks, signatures, or copyright notices may be added to images.
Rules
You may submit up to five (5) photographs.
All photos must be in color and taken in the City of St. Louis.
The photo cannot be copied or reproduced from a third party source.
Photos must be appropriate for posting on a public government website.
The photographic images remain the property of the photographer, but no entries will be returned.
By entering the contest, the photographer agrees to have their image displayed on the City of St. Louis website without any fee or other form of compensation.
By entering the contest, entrants grant the City of St. Louis the right to publish and use submitted photos on the City of St. Louis web site.
Entries must be submitted by the original photographer.
Do not submit a photo taken by someone other than the entrant. The entrant must be the sole owner of the copyright of any image submitted and submission of the photo and the associated entry form is your guarantee that you are the author and copyright holder of the photograph.
Judging
Entries will be judged on the basis of creativity, photographic quality, and effectiveness in conveying the beauty and/or unique character of the City of St. Louis. A panel comprised of professionals in graphic design, web professionals, public relations and the arts will judge the entries and all contest decisions are final. Entries that fail to comply with the official contest rules will be disqualified.
