Fleet Maintenance Technician II

Minimum Maximum
$33,670.00 $53,326.00
Normal entry salary is $33,670.

Nature of Work
This is skilled work in the repair, overhaul, and maintenance of various types of automotive equipment. Some positions in this class are responsible for small engine repair on equipment such as lawnmowers, chain saws, tillers, etc. Employees must be able to use all appropriate testing equipment to diagnose and locate specific problems.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of full-time paid experience in the repair, overhaul, and maintenance of automotive or landscaping equipment such as utility tractors, lawnmowers, and two-cycle engines;

OR, two years of experience as a Fleet Maintenance Technician I with the City of St. Louis;

OR, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Employees must furnish their own set of hand tools.

License: Must possess a valid driver’s license at the time of the oral interview. Some positions may require a commercial driver’s license or permit. Please note kind of license, number, class and expiration date on the employment application.

Official proof of qualifying educational achievement must be submitted at the time of the Oral Interview if applicable.
