License: Must possess a valid Missouri driver’s license at the time of filing application and maintain license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Please note kind of license, number, class and expiration date on the Employment Application. Candidates may be required to provide their own personal vehicle for the performance of their duties. If personal vehicle is used reimbursement will be paid.
NOTE: For purposes of this examination, any combination of courses from the attached course listing totaling 12 hours will be accepted towards satisfying the educational requirement. For future promotional opportunities, however, extra credit will be awarded on the experience and training evaluation for completion of “first priority” courses (BIC: 101, BIC: 203, BIC: 204 and CE: 116).

The Promotability Rating will be completed for each applicant by Building Division Management personnel. The Promotability Rating differs from a Service Rating in that the candidate’s potential for successful performance at a higher level in the career path is being evaluated.
