ST. LOUIS' YOUNGEST CITIZENS SAY THANK YOU!
SAVE THE DATE!
2005 MAYOR'S SUMMIT ON EARLY CHILDHOOD SUCCESS JUNE 29, 2005 1-4 P.M. FOREST PARK COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Because of you, children under the age of 6 have a voice in St. Louis. In 2003, Mayor Francis Slay asked advocates, providers and consumers of early childhood services to come together to create a city-wide strategic plan for early childhood success. As a result of your efforts in four summit meetings, a plan of action was developed that resulted in the formation of the City of St. Louis Council for Early Childhood Success. One of the first success stories is the award of $1 million grant targeting early literacy.
Our story cannot stop with this initial success. We must make sure that all children reach their full potential. We need your help, and the help of other committed individuals to implement this plan. The 2004 Summit was the first time the City convened early childhood stakeholders. Join us to celebrate our collective accomplishments and map out a plant to address the priorities of the coming year.
