		<font size="-1"></font>March 18, 2009&nbsp;&nbsp;--&nbsp;&nbsp;ST. LOUIS -- Mayor Francis G. Slay and St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley serve as co-chairs for the exciting new initiative Read St. Louis, which will feature different books and authors every year to promote literacy and the joy of reading.

Shown here from left to right:  Gabe Gore, Board President for the St. Louis Public Library; Waller McGuire, Executive Director of the St. Louis Public Library; Mayor Francis G. Slay; Karl Jones, Operations Manager, Missouri District, UPS; and Cheryl Andrews, UPS Executive showcase the books selected for Read St. Louis.

Mayor Slay and County Executive Dooley hosted simultaneous news conferences to launch the program.
