April 29, 2008  --  ST. LOUIS - Mayor Francis G. Slay and members of the African Methodist Episcopal Church held a news conference in the Mayor´s Office today to announce that the 48th Quadrennial of the AME Church General Conference will be held in St. Louis at America´s Center from July 4 - 11, 2008. The conference is expected to bring 40,000 visitors from around the globe to St. Louis. April 17, 2008  --  ST. LOUIS - Services for Special S/SGT Dale Edmond Crowder were held today at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. During the ceremony, Mayor Francis G. Turley, past National President of The Gold Star Mothers of America.
