Plans are to redevelop this building into housing units targeted to SLU students. Formerly a Teamsters Union location, Council Plaza is on the National Register of Historic Places. These buildings were built in 1967 and are located on a pie-shaped piece of land in between I-64 and Forest Park Avenue.
Plans include a barbecue restaurant, a courtyard between the two buildings, retail on the western facade, and an improved passenger walkway over Forest Park Avenue.
