Despite an early-morning fire - ruled by the fire department to be arson - causing $2+ million damage on April 27, 2006, the Compton Gate Condominiums development have been rebuilt.
The former Shoney's Restaurant site on Grand Ave. between Flad and Cleveland is the location of the new condominium complex. There are 36 condominiums in all -- six townhouses and 30 garden style.
The condominiums will all feature two bedrooms and two baths and range in price from $195,000 to $405,000. Ground breaking for the Compton-Grand condominiums occurred in April, 2005.
