St. Louis University's Sports Complex is a recreational area built on 14.5 acres of the former Laclede Town site. The property extends eastward from SLU's Billiken Sports Center to Compton Avenue.
This recreation area includes a parking garage and recreational area with tennis courts, a softball field, a 3-acre putting green, a gazebo, a 1.7 acre lake, a fountain, picnic tables, park benches, and a path for walking, jogging and cycling.
SLU allows the recreational area's field, courts and green space to be shared with the surrounding community and institutions, including Harris-Stowe State College.
