Drug Court Mission Statement: To make the community safer by helping and requiring defendants to overcome drug/alcohol abuse and to become productive citizens.

Drug Court Process:
  • Felony drug related arrest and criminal charges filed.
  • Screening and eligibility (nonviolent record and drug problems).
  • Prompt intake program (following screening and filing of charges).
    • Part I: Orientation Phase (about 1 month).
    • Part II: Treatment Phase (at least 4 months).
    • Part III: Aftercare Phase (at least 6 months).
  • Commencement: Dismissal of felony charges.
