TO HELP A VICTIM OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE:
- TELL THE VICTIM she does not deserved to be treated like this.
- LET THE VICTIM KNOW there will be people to support her and help her.
- CALL THE POLICE!! If you witness by seeing or by hearing an act of abuse⦠DO NOT assume she can help herself.
- HELP US HELP THE ABUSED by keeping in touch with the Circuit Attorney's Office if a case has been issued - you, as witnesses of injury, abuse or controlling behavior can often make the difference in helping us hold the batterer accountable, even if you think your piece of information is small or irrelevant, it may be the piece that solves the puzzle for us.
