Burial Information
If you are trying to locate the place of burial of a deceased relative, a Missouri Death Certificate should provide the information you are looking for. In order to obtain a death certificate for a deceased relative, please contact the Recorder of Deeds - Vital Records Office. Only a person related within a certain degree to a decedent, a legal guardian, persons representing certain government interests, etc. may obtain a copy of a Missouri Death Certificate for that decedent. If you are searching for information regarding a St. Louis city resident who has passed away without family, did not leave a last will and testament, and/or was an indigent member of the community, please contact the Public Administrator's Office. If the decedent was a veteran of U.S. Armed Forces or spouse of a veteran, you may search online at Nationwide Veterans Gravesite Locator.
