Stranger Than Fiction Character Raffle

Forget cars or flat-screen TVs – the St. Louis Public Library Foundation is giving away the opportunity for five lucky readers to be immortalized as characters in upcoming novels by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro, Angie Fox, Michael Kahn or Susan McBride. A fifth winner will host best-selling author Curtis Sittenfeld as a guest at his or her next book club meeting.

Winners will be drawn at the Nov. 14 “Stranger than Fiction: A Novel Affair” friend-raiser and fundraiser event at Central Library, 1301 Olive Blvd. Raffle winners will be able to select the author in whose book they wish to be included on a first-drawn, first-come basis. The authors will then incorporate the winner’s name into his or her next book. Participants do not need to be present at the event in order to win.
