The Duane Reed Gallery is excited to present the work of acclaimed artist and St. Louis native, William Quinn. The exhibition opens Friday, October 16th with an opening that evening from 5 – 8pm. The exhibition will run through November 14th.

William Quinn was born in St. Louis in 1929. He received an M.F.A. at the University of Illinois. before returning to teach drawing and painting at Washington University where he remained as a professor in the Fine Arts Department until 1991. For more than forty years Quinn has continually surprised us with newly invented images, not through a quest for novelty but through his naturally creative gifts. His achievement as an artist is best understood as a synthesis of his outlook on life and art, his American roots, and his European experiences. He forged these elements into an artistic style which he has developed with great integrity and steadfastness.
